Quote

"If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ." - Martin Luther

Which bit is being attacked at the moment, do you think?

Shutka

I've been in Macedonia for over a year and only went to Shutka for the first time last week. It is the largest Roma (gypsy) settlement in Europe. It was a pretty wild experience and reminded me over going to one of the villages in Albania.
We have a German team with us for about 10 days, so the presence of these 25 Germans attracted lots of children and adults to the meetings. It was fun being surrounded by all the children in a kind of happy chaos.
The best part was last Wednesday when Nikolce preached - he clearly presented the gospel, told people he'd give them a chance to think about it, and then asked people who wanted to give their lives to Jesus and receive salvation from Him, to come to the front. One teenage lad boldly went forward, and then his three friends followed, as well as an older lady, and then another lady later on. It was great to see, the humility in these lads' eyes as they turned their lives over to Jesus.
I was also pleased to see the guys again when I went on Sunday evening. Great joy when people turn to Jesus and receive Him.
I suspect I will go to Shutka again...
