YWAMers

We had a YWAM team with us for a week, helping evangelise the students and serving with the church in other ways. They included people from Macedonia, Poland, USA and Germany.

Scorching Haiku

This is for my Macedonian friends. There has been a spate of Haiku poems posted on blogs (e.g. Alek's), so here is my offering:

Жежок градски ден
Автобусот клима нема
И јас се топам

Translation to English:
A scorching city day
The bus hasn't got air-con
And I'm melting

Changes in Albania

Having just spent 6 days in Albania, I was able to see the changes that are taking place there. I was last in the country about 15 months ago and things seem to be changing very fast. The roads are being made up and the towns of Elbasan and Tirane are really different. Even George Bush paid a visit while I was there (not to me personally though).

It was so good to see my friends the Wakeleys again (there's a photo of Nick below). They, as always, welcomed me in and treated me so generously, as did the others there. I was also at a conference at their church, and there were opportunities to be built up spiritually, which I wanted (and needed!).
